OS Elementary Audio Recorder bug Fix

Audio Recorder is a useful program which takes any sound you have playing and records it as a sound file.  You can use it to record something that is playing in a web browser for instance.  However, you may find that it does not work on OS Elementary, if you installed this a while ago. This is due to an outdated version of Granite being installed. To find out if you have the bug, start audio recorder from the terminal, and if you get an error, then you have the bug.  Eg. type

audio-recorder

When you type this command, there should not be an error.

If audio recorder is not installed, and you want it, copy and paste these lines. Will work for any distro.

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:osmoma/audio-recorder
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install audio-recorder

To fix the bug, re-install OS Elementary from the CD with Internet working during the install process. This will ensure the latest version of Granite is installed, and you won’t get the bug.
